Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit it. The cookie is stored in your browser and sent back to the server with every subsequent request to the same domain, allowing the site to "remember" your settings, session, or choices between visits.
- Session cookies - temporary; automatically deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies - remain on your device until a set expiry date or until you delete them manually.
- First-party cookies - set directly by the efanno.com domain.
- Third-party cookies - set by a domain other than efanno.com (e.g. Google), usually via scripts embedded in the page.
2. Why we use cookies
- To ensure the site functions correctly on a technical level (necessary cookies).
- If enabled in the future, to understand how visitors use our site and improve content (analytics cookies - with your consent).
- If enabled in the future, to measure the reach of any brand-awareness campaigns (marketing cookies - with your consent, off by default).
efanno.com is an informational corporate site with no e-commerce functionality - there is no cart, checkout, or transactions. Cookies are therefore not used to track purchases, conversions, or behavior for retargeting purposes.
3. Which cookies we use
We organize cookies into three categories. You can give or withdraw consent for each category via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or by clicking "Manage cookie settings" in the page footer.
3.1 Necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the site to function correctly and cannot be turned off. They don't require your consent - they are set on the basis of a legitimate interest in the site's operation.
| Cookie name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | First-party | Remembers the selected site language (Bosnian/English) so the page is shown in the correct language on your next visit. | 365 days |
efanno_consent | First-party | Remembers your cookie consent choices by category, so the banner isn't shown on every visit. | 365 days |
3.2 Analytics cookies
This site does not currently use analytics cookies. If we enable a tool such as Google Analytics in the future, these cookies will only be set with your explicit consent, and this policy will be updated with the exact cookie names and durations before they're activated. We use Google Consent Mode v2 - if you decline analytics cookies, the analytics_storage: denied signal prevents any analytics cookie from being set.
3.3 Marketing cookies
This site does not currently use marketing cookies. If we enable them in the future (e.g. for brand-awareness campaigns), they will only be set with your explicit consent and will be off by default, and this policy will be updated before activation.
4. Cookies and Google Consent Mode v2
Our site implements Google Consent Mode v2, meaning the default consent state (denied for analytics and marketing) is set in the page code before any Google scripts would be loaded. This ensures no third-party cookie can be set without your prior consent, in line with the "privacy by default" principle under the Law on Personal Data Protection of B&H.
5. How to manage cookies
5.1 Via our settings panel
- Accept all - you accept all cookie categories.
- Reject non-essential - only necessary cookies are set.
- Manage settings - open the detailed panel and choose which categories to accept individually.
You can change your settings at any time by clicking "Manage cookie settings" in the footer of this and every other page on the site.
5.2 Deleting cookies via your browser settings
- Google Chrome - managing cookies
- Mozilla Firefox - clearing cookies and site data
- Apple Safari - managing cookies
- Microsoft Edge - deleting cookies
Note: if you delete the efanno_consent cookie from your browser, our site no longer knows you already gave or refused consent, and the banner will be shown again on your next visit.
6. Changes to this cookie policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we use cookies, the introduction of new tools, or changes in legislation. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
